They’re coming to a shopping center near you.

The Shops at Riverwoods announced yesterday its springtime music festival —Jam the River — featuring American Idol finalist and Sandy resident, Megan Joy, local band and Rolling Stone cover contest competitor, Fictionist … and (of course) Sugar Ray. The two day music-listening, boutique-shopping, restaurant-hopping extravaganza starts Friday, April 8 at 2 p.m. and culminates with Sugar Ray’s performance Saturday, April 9 at 9 p.m.

Put it on your calendar and dust off your Sugar Ray’s Greatest Hits album. UV Mag editors’ pick? “Every Morning” … it’s excellent.

Jam the River is a celebration to commemorate the new look and feel of the shopping plaza, and to kick off The Shops at Riverwoods’ spring shopping, dining and entertainment season. This two-day event will feature live music, entertainment, and a chance to check out the new shops and restaurants that have recently opened in The Shops at Riverwoods. The event is free to the public. Shuttle busses will be made available for off-site parking.
